When making changes to the Sierra Summit settings, the changes may not save when exiting the Summit program. This happens when the Sierra User profile does not have the necessary permissions to make changes to the preserve file stored in CadLink. To enable setting changes it is necessary to enable (check) the “Can Update Preserve File” option for your user profile from within the Sierra User Manager program. The User Manager program should appear as an icon on the desktop, or it can be found at C:\Cadwell\Sierra Summit folder and double click on the file SierraUserManager.exe. Only user’s categorized as “admin” are allowed to enable the setting which allows a user to make preserve file changes. Refer to the Sierra help file topic entitled User Permissions and User Manager for more information.
