Easy III: Downloading an Ambulatory Recording with Video

When the patient returns, simply plug in the ambulatory recorder and Q-Video Mobile device in either order into the acquisition computer. Launch the Easy III Ambulatory dashboard by double clicking on the shortcut on the desktop.  At this point there will be three options highlighted in the action list:  Monitor Recording, Download Recording Q, and Clear Recording.

Following is a description of the 2 options available when the devices is plugged in (option 2 Download Recording Q will be the one you will use most often):

  1. Monitor Recording: Select this option to monitor the live data and perform any necessary system checks prior to downloading the study.  (for instance, impedance or calibration)  Once additional data collection is performed with the live trace window displaying, simply follow the steps to disconnect the recorder in order to move on to downloading the study.
  2. Download Recording Q: Select this option to download the recording. Make sure that both the Recorder and Q-Video Mobile system have a status of Recording/Connected respectively prior to selecting Download Recording. Select Download Recording Q from the Actions list. The a prompt will appear stating which study is about to be downloaded, select Yes. At this point, the Q-Video mobile device will terminate the recording automatically as well as the ambulatory recorder, an ambulatory downloading status dialog will appear showing the downloading status, elapsed time of recording, and file sizes.  There is also a checkbox in this window which provides the option to have the record opened for review automatically once the download is finished. The status dialog will update with Download Complete for both the Ambulatory Recorder and Q-Video Mobile devices. Also, once the downloads are complete the Ambulatory Data Integrity Report will be displayed, there is an option to print this report or select Close. If the option to open the record for review when finished is checked, upon close of this Integrity Report, the record will automatically open.  If the option was not checked, the report will simply close.  To review the record, launch the Easy III Review Data icon, highlight the patient record, and select Open Record.
